Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Review

My write-up on Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen

We will be reviewing Neutrogena hydro boost gel sunscreen today, and you guys know how much I love this line. For me, Neutrogena has made one of the best products.

I have very pale skin, and always carry a high sun factor when outside and exposed. But, I have tried several various products, including some others by Neutrogena.

I also tried ultra-sheer dry-touch sunscreen, but hydro-boost is very lightweight, making it easy to implement and comfortable with clothing and loose hair.

This sunscreen gives you hydration throughout the day, and when you are exposed to the Sun, it takes the water out of your skin and dries you out, but it will keep you hydrated for up to eight hours. The other thing you have to know is that this is a chemical sunscreen, but It gives a good amount of protection.

Since I’ve been using it, I have a few things to say, I don’t understand why they add fragrance because the hydro-boost sunscreen smell could be too intense for some people.

It contains a heavy fragrance; it could be a little bit irritating to some people with sensitive skin and acne-prone skin. It’s so essential if you want to maintain youthful, beautiful, healthy skin. It may not be suitable for oily skin types.

It comes with SPF 50 and SPF 30. It contains UVA as well as UVB protection, and it also includes hyaluronic acid. This sunscreen is the best water-based sunscreen for the face. It is the same fresh, light smell as the hydro-boost moisturizer.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen’s only disadvantage is that it includes Oxybenzone – the most hazardous sunscreen ingredient of all. If you are not concerned about Oxybenzone, this sunscreen is good because it is lightweight and blends transparently.

The one thing about it is that it does not get near your eyes because it will burn and cause you to have unstoppable watery eyes all day, even when you wash it off.

It is lightweight and not sticky like heavy other sunscreens. So, This sunscreen leaves a very smooth and very nice finish. This sunscreen is one of the best so far, in terms of no white residue, no greasy, and no oiliness.

Its water-gel formula has a clean, light feel. So, this non-greasy SPF 50 sunscreen is also suitable for dark skin people.

Texture, Fragrance, and Packaging

Packaging: This water gel Sunscreen comes in a blue squeeze plastic tube with a screw cap. It’s a handy size tube that is easy to use. Also, you can easily carry your handbag while traveling.

Fragrance: This is heavily fragranced sunscreen so the hydro-boost sunscreen smell could be too intense for some people.

Texture: Neutrogena product is thick. It wasn’t a gel. It is more like a lotion, white, and not different from other sunblocks. I was expecting a real gel! But it is a thick white lotion.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen didn’t leave a white cast and not too thick. This sunscreen is more affordable than other sunscreen products. So I recommended it because It pulls in moisture from the air to keep our skin nice, hydrated, and moisturize, which is good. If you have dry or flaky skin, it’s so good because it’s very light, not greasy, and not oily. It absorbs into the skin well.
