My write-up on Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen
So we’re going to be reviewing today Neutrogena hydro boost water gel sunscreen and you guys know how much I love this line. For me, it’s one of the best product, Neutrogena has made.
I have very reasonable skin then always wear a high sun factor when out and exposed. But, I have tried so many different products, including some others by Neutrogena, I also tried ultra-sheer dry-touch sunscreen, and what I like about this sunscreen is, it is very lightweight which makes it easy to apply, and then comfortable with clothing and loose hair.
I just spent a week on vacation, and while I do actively stay out of the sun there were times I couldn’t avoid it and Also, I didn’t get any color (I wear a watch which makes it easy to tell) and certainly didn’t get burnt. It is less of what I would think of as a “gel” and more a lightweight cream, although more translucent than other creams, that didn’t bother me at all as it did the job.
Yes, I’m going to try the sunscreen because I hate greasy oily sunscreens. The first time I applied this water gel sunscreen then I was like double-checking did I just buy the Moisturizer again. It didn’t feel like a sunscreen, it’s kind of like the water gel but obviously, its sunscreen.
It is lightweight so it feels like a gel. It’s not sticky like heavy like other sunscreens So This sunscreen leaves a very smooth and very nice finish. This is one of the best so far in terms of no white residue, no greasy and oiliness.
Texture, Fragrance and Packaging
Packaging: This water gel Sunscreen comes in a blue squeeze plastic tube with a screw cap. It’s a handy size tube that is easy to use. Also, you can easily carry in your purse while traveling.
Fragrance: It smells very nice, but it is strong. This is heavily fragranced sunscreen so the smell of the hydro-boost sunscreen could be too strong for some people.
Texture: Neutrogena product is thick. It wasn’t a gel. It is more like a lotion, white, and not different from other sunblocks. I was expecting a real gel! But it is white thick lotion.
This sunscreen gives you hydration throughout the day and when you are exposed to the Sun, it takes all the water out of your skin and it dries you out but it will keep you hydrated up to eight hours. The other thing that you have to know is that this is a chemical sunscreen but It’s a good amount of protection.
If you’re only using it by itself the scanner feels soft and moisturize and you’re still getting sun protection. Since I got the sunscreen I’ve been using and I have a few things to say I don’t understand why they add fragrance because the smell of the hydro-boost sunscreen could be too strong for some people.
It contains heavy fragrance; it could be a little bit irritated on some people on sensitive skin and acne-prone skin. It’s so essential if you want to maintain youthful beautiful healthy skin, this is the Neutrogena hydro boost water and gel sunscreen. It comes with SPF 50 and SPF 30.
It contains UVA as well as UVB protection which is what you want in sunscreen and it also contains hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid is actually what drew me to this product because it’s one of my favorite ingredients. This sunscreen is the best water-based sunscreen for face.
The main problem I had with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen is that contains Oxybenzone – the riskiest sunscreen ingredient of all. If you are not worried about oxybenzone, then this sunscreen is nice because it blends in transparently and is lightweight – like a very watery gel.
The only thing about it is that it does leave your face very shiny and does not get it near your eyes because it will burn and cause you to have unstoppable watery, teary eyes the whole day even when you wipe it off.
